Terms of Service
Effective August 15, 2026
These terms govern access to Apex Coding Academy, including its curriculum, downloadable projects, APIs, organizations, and hosted execution resources. By purchasing or using the academy, you agree to these terms.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally able to enter this agreement and provide accurate account information. You are responsible for activity under your account, protecting sign-in methods and API keys, and notifying support of suspected compromise. Accounts, subscriptions, lab quotas, and lifetime licenses are non-transferable unless an enterprise agreement states otherwise.
License and ownership
Apex grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to use purchased curriculum and starter projects for personal learning or authorized internal business training. Apex retains its curriculum, hidden graders, branding, site software, and assessment content. You retain ownership of code you submit, and grant Apex and its processors the limited right to store, execute, grade, secure, and support that code to provide the service.
Subscriptions and lifetime access
Subscriptions renew automatically at the disclosed billing interval until canceled. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period unless law requires otherwise. Lifetime access means access for the operational life of the Apex Coding Academy service and includes the curriculum updates stated on the purchase page; it is not a guarantee that every feature, third-party provider, hosted-compute allowance, or format will remain unchanged forever. Hosted lab minutes and organization seats are governed by the purchased plan.
Payments, refunds, and disputes
Stripe processes payments and customer-portal changes. Taxes may be added where required. Failed or reversed payments may suspend access, and full refunds or unresolved chargebacks revoke the related access automatically. Partial refunds do not expand access. The published Refund Policy applies in addition to any non-waivable consumer rights.
Authorized use only
Exercises may be used only on systems, accounts, targets, and data you own or are explicitly authorized to test. You may not bypass access controls, CAPTCHA protections, rate limits, robots policies, provider restrictions, sanctions, or third-party terms; obtain or rotate identities to conceal prohibited activity; scrape personal or protected information without authority; distribute malware; interfere with other tenants; extract hidden graders; exhaust shared resources; or use the service for fraud, harassment, surveillance, credential abuse, or unlawful activity.
Hosted labs
Hosted labs run untrusted code in isolated, time-limited environments with outbound network access disabled. Submissions, output, file size, concurrency, queue depth, and monthly or lifetime compute are bounded. A run may be rejected, terminated, or retained for security investigation when it violates policy or threatens availability. Hosted graders provide educational feedback and may be reviewed or corrected when a verified grading defect is found.
Organizations
Organization owners and managers may invite users and view or administer organization-related access as described in the product. Organization customers are responsible for invitations, seat assignments, internal authority, and notices to members. Personal plans may not be converted into organization access. Enterprise plan scope, seats, and pooled compute follow the checkout terms or signed order.
Third-party services and availability
The academy depends on payment, authentication, email, analytics, execution, database, queue, hosting, and content-delivery providers. We work to provide reliable access but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, provider outages, security events, law, or abuse may require temporary restriction. We may replace providers or improve course material and labs while preserving the material value of purchased access.
Educational disclaimer
The academy provides technical education, not legal, compliance, employment, investment, or security certification advice. Examples and automated feedback do not guarantee that a system is safe, lawful, profitable, employable, or suitable for production. You remain responsible for independent review, authorization, testing, and operation of anything you build.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for nonpayment, fraud, material breach, security threats, repeated quota evasion, or unlawful or unauthorized activity. When practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to cure. Provisions concerning ownership, payment records, disclaimers, liability, and misuse survive termination.
Warranty and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available” without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Apex is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or lost-profit damages. Apex's aggregate liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid Apex during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.
Governing terms and contact
These terms and any checkout or enterprise order form are the complete agreement for the service; a signed order controls if it expressly conflicts. If part of these terms is unenforceable, the remainder continues. Florida law governs to the extent permitted, without overriding mandatory consumer protections. Questions or legal notices may be sent to support@apexcodingacademy.com.
